Fourth-Generation Oregonian With the Spirit of a Wanderer
“This is a relationship business, not a sales business,” says Aubre Cheshire, and that’s a good indication of how she approaches her career. “I value the relationships with my clients. I’m a matchmaker of sorts; I bring together the right buyer for the right seller to create a home or investment.”
Aubre brings a fascinating, diverse background to the Duke Warner team, along with property management experience. She was born in Bend and has lived all over Oregon, and is a fourth-generation daughter of an organic farmer in Redmond. Despite her local roots, Aubre’s education has brought her a B.S. in Business Administration with a minor in philosophy…and she’s even learned a little Sanskrit, and ancient Indo-European language that’s the root of many languages on the Indian subcontinent—much like Latin is a root of many European languages, but even more ancient.
“I’m most proud of learning Sanskrit, which is probably only spoken by a few thousand people in the world,” says Aubre. “I’m proud of being able to sustain and keep my business through one of the worst recessions of our time, and make it out the other side in one piece.”
Aubre says that the Duke Warner team is “really like a second family—inspiring agents with a breadth of knowledge on the area and its market…and they have a lot of fun when the time calls for it!”
Her ultimate career goal is to create a sustainable business plan based on referrals. As she works toward that, she enjoys mountain biking, hiking the Badlands with her rescue dog, “Joy”, meditating and traveling the world when she can.
